For the baked apple, cut out the core of the apple and place the apple in a greased baking dish.
Stir the jam with rum until smooth, put almond slivers into the apple. If necessary, pre-drill holes with a pointed knife.
Pour in the jam, bake in the oven at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for about 15 minutes until the apple skin starts to brown.
Then lift out the baked apple and serve sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.

If children are eating with you, it is best to make the baked apple without rum.
