For the lime-mint granita, first make a syrup from water and sugar. Bring the water to the boil and dissolve the sugar in it. Let it boil for a few minutes. Let cool and add the lime juice.
Pour into a shallow freezer-safe container to a height of about 3 cm and freeze. When the first ice crystals have formed on the rim, stir thoroughly once and then refreeze. Stir again and again in between so that a coarse grain is formed.
In the meantime, roughly chop the mint leaves. Stir into the granita before serving. Pour the lime-mint granita into glasses and serve immediately.
Preparation Tip:
For the after-work version of the Lime Mint Granita, you can add a little rum or gin.
