For bread dumplings with bacon, mix all ingredients together except flour and let rest for 20 minutes. Add flour and form dumplings.
Boil the dumplings in salted water for 25 – 30 minutes, drain and serve.
Preparation Tip:
Warm sauerkraut or cabbage salad, lentils or a mushroom ragout, for example, goes well with bread dumplings with bacon.
