Instructions:

Put sugar, milk and water together in a saucepan and make on low heat for about 15 min.

In another saucepan melt the butter, gradually add the starch flour and stir constantly for 10 min.

When the flour is golden brown, add the sugar-water-milk mixture, the raisins and the cardamom and cook on high heat, stirring constantly, until all the liquid has evaporated.

Pour the pudding into a shallow dish, garnish with sliced almonds and serve while still warm.
