For the speculaas, mix the flour with the spices and place on a baking board. Make a well in the center and add butter flakes, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg and the deer horn salt dissolved in cream. Knead everything into a smooth dough and chill.

Roll out the dough and form speculoos from it using a speculoos roller. Place on a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 210 °C for about 8-10 minutes.

Speculoos can also be used as a base for Christmas desserts.
