For the Sausage Rolls, chop the onion and fry gently in the oil for 7 minutes. Skin the sausages and finely grind the sausage meat so that it forms a uniform mass and put it in a bowl.

Add the roasted onion and most of the egg and mix well. (The rest of the egg will be needed to brush the Sausage Rolls.) Roll up the puff pastry and cut it into sixes, cutting it three times lengthwise and once crosswise.

On each rectangle spread 1/6 of the sausage mixture, sausage-shaped in the center. The puff pastry is now folded over the sausage mixture, first the short sides and then the long sides, so that nothing can leak out. Then brush the Sausage Rolls with the rest of the ice cream, beaten until light and fluffy. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

Cocktail sauce or garlic sauce goes well with the Sausage Rolls.
