First chop chocolate into small pieces.
Heat chocolate, milk, starch, sugar in a saucepan until almost boiling. Let simmer for some time, stirring constantly. Carefully add the egg, stirring constantly.
Pour the coconut pudding into bowls and serve warm or cold.
Preparation Tip:
With coconut milk, the coconut pudding tastes more like coconut, of course. If you don't like chunks in it, omit the grated coconut.
