Put water, sugar and the washed lemon balm in a large pot.
Slice the lemons and oranges and add them.
Put the pot on the stove, bring the juice to a boil and boil for 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in citric acid (juice should stop boiling at this point). Cover pot and let stand for 36 hours.
Then strain the lemon balm syrup through a cloth, pour the juice into clean bottles and seal them tightly.
Preparation Tip:
For the preparation of syrup is used lemon balm, which due to its essential oils smells strongly of lemons. Melissa has a calming and relaxing effect as a medicinal herb. The leaves with the lemon balm oil must be harvested before flowering. One prepares tea from the gently dried lemon balm leaves.Shelf life: 12 months.
