Bring the water to a boil and simmer with cinnamon and cardamom for 5 min on low heat. Remove the spices.
Rinse the orange and thinly peel it with a zester. Stir coffee, spiced water and preserving sugar, bring to boil, simmer 3 min on low heat.
Fold in orange peel and fill into clean jars. Close tightly immediately.
Shelf life : 6 months
