Grilled Sausages with Apples and Onions

Instructions:

For the sausages, peel, core and quarter the apples and cut into wedges. Sprinkle with a little lemon juice. Cut the onions into rings.

Sprinkle the sugar in a grill alu pan, spread the onion rings and apple slices on it. Pour the apple juice and the calvados.

Place the sausages on top and sprinkle with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Cover and cook on the grill over indirect heat. Stir frequently.

Serve when the apple and onion sauce has thickened and the sausages are nicely browned.

Serve with baked potato or sweet potato wedges with sour cream and Feinspitz chili onion mustard.

Preparation Tip:

In the photo I have used this time small Rostbratwürstel. Through the intense flavor of the Bratwürstel comes the combination with the apples even better to bear.
