For the apple-poppy seed cake, separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat yolks and sugar until foamy. Stir in flour, poppy seeds, cinnamon and baking powder.

Grate apples and mix in (set aside 1/3 of the apples). Fold in the snow as well. Spread the dough on a baking tray and cover with the remaining apple slices.

Bake at 180 °C top/bottom heat for 35-40 minutes. Let the apple and poppy seed cake cool after baking and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
