For the baked apples with cranberries, cut out the skin from the apples and fill with the sugar cubes.
Place in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with a little wine and sprinkle with cinnamon. Roast in the oven at 180 °C for about 30 minutes.
Arrange on plates and top with cranberry compote. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream to the baked apples with cranberries.
