For the banana muffins, mix the bananas with applesauce and eggs in a blender until fluffy. Mix rye flour with baking powder and stir into the banana mixture with the nuts.

Pour 1 tablespoon full into each of 12 paper muffin cups. Place a piece of chocolate on top of each muffin. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes. Test with chopsticks.
