Total time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

Instructions:

For the banana-peanut butter buns, pour oatmeal, honey and butter with the boiling water and let it steep.

After about 15 minutes, mix with cold water. When the mixture has cooled to hand-warm, mix in flour, yeast and a pinch of salt.

While the yeast dough is rising, make the filling from the bananas, honey and peanut butter and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.

I mash the bananas for this, but you can also take them sliced and put them on top of the peanut butter.

Knead the yeast dough when it has risen and roll it out. Spread with the filling mixture, roll tightly and cut the roll into pieces about 4 to 5 cm wide.

Place the resulting snails next to each other in a greased large pie dish and let rise again.

Then sprinkle with the brown sugar and bake the banana-peanut butter buns at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

Banana peanut butter buns are great for using up browned bananas!
