For the bratwurst sandwich, preheat the oven and cover the grill with aluminum foil. Place the sausages on top and grill for about 20 minutes.
Brush the cut surfaces of the baguettes with butter. Cut the sausages in half lengthwise and spread evenly on the bottom of the baguettes.
Top the baguettes as desired, cover with the second half of the baguette and serve.
