Instructions:

Grate chocolate and almond kernels. Cook shortcrust pastry. Filling: Boil water, cane sugar and juice of one lemon briefly and steam apples in it to a thick puree until soft. Add the cinnamon. Cook the dough and cut it in half, roll out one half into a rectangle on the ungreased baking sheet, prick it a few times with a fork and then pre-bake at 200 degrees until the dough is no longer shiny and takes on a light color. Spread the pre-baked half of the dough evenly with the apple filling (perhaps leaving liquid behind), leaving a 2 finger wide border. Roll out the second half of the dough on a floured board and place it over the apple filling using a rolling pin, pierce a few times, brush with egg and bake at top heat for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon while still hot.
