Instructions:

For the burger buns, place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and add the fresh yeast (no steaming necessary). Using a food processor, process the ingredients for 3 minutes on slow speed and 7 minutes faster until a smooth dough forms.

Cover the bowl with a dish towel and let the dough rise for 1 hour. Then divide the dough into 9 equal pieces of dough and grind into rounds.

Press the round dough balls flat on a baking sheet lined with baking paper to make a diameter of about 8 cm. To prevent the surface from drying out, moisten with a little water and let rest, covered, for another hour.

In the meantime, whisk the egg with milk and water. After the waiting time, brush the buns with it and sprinkle with sesame seeds (optionally also poppy seeds, for example). Finally, bake the burger buns at 200 °C convection oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

Preparation Tip:

Burger buns can also be wonderfully frozen. So you always have some quickly at hand.
