Mix milk, flour, egg yolks and water to make a dough. Season with salt. Whip egg whites to a beaten egg white, fold in. Fry 4 slices of bacon in a non-stick frying pan. add a quarter of the butter. pour a quarter of the batter over it. Fry pancakes on one side, turn to the other side and top each with 2 slices of cheese. Bake under the hot broiler until crispy or, if desired, just let the cheese melt in the covered broiler pan. Bake three more pancakes in the same way. Serve hot with syrup.
