Instructions:

For the cherry chocolate mousse dessert in a glass, first bake the base. To do this, preheat the oven to 170 °C.

Beat the 3 eggs and the sugar with a mixer until foamy and then carefully add the oil. Mix the flour with the cocoa and baking powder and fold into the egg mixture. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 20 minutes. Let cool briefly.

Tear cooled cake into small pieces with your fingers, put into the glasses and press down a bit.

For the cherry layer, put the sour cherries together with their juice in a saucepan. Take 3 tablespoons of the juice and mix together with the cornstarch and sugar. Bring the cherries to a boil in the saucepan, stir in the starch mixture and simmer gently until the mixture has thickened somewhat. Finish with rum and divide evenly among the glasses.

For the chocolate mousse, coarsely chop the chocolate and heat on a water bath. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Whip the yolks with the powdered sugar on another water bath and then remove from the heat. Add the liquid chocolate and mix. Whip the whipped cream to a creamy consistency and fold into the egg-chocolate mixture. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the chocolate mousse into the glasses as the last layer.

Let the cherry chocolate mousse dessert in the glass rest in the refrigerator for a few hours.
