Instructions:

For the curry shrimp, thaw frozen shrimp. Peel and dice the tomatoes and set aside. Cut the onion in half lengthwise, then slice finely. Chop the garlic and ginger together very finely and sauté with the onions in the butter until translucent. Add chili, turmeric, cumin and coriander and saute for 1 minute. Now add shrimp and shredded coconut and saute for 1 minute, stir in tomatoes and yogurt and cook for a few minutes until shrimp are just cooked. Stir in garam masala and season the curried shrimp with salt.

Preparation Tip:

Do not overcook the shrimp or they will become tough. Best served with rice.
