For the apricot dumplings first prepare the dough. For the dough, mix the egg with curd cheese, butter and flour and a little salt. Let rest for 10 minutes. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions.

Wash the apricots and strawberries well. Cut the apricots open on one side, remove the pit and place a small strawberry in the apricot instead.

If the strawberries are too big, cut them accordingly. Now take one piece of dough at a time and press into a flat round circle on the palm of your hand.

Place a filled apricot in the center and now roll the dough into a dumpling so that the fruit is completely encased in dough. Carefully place the dumplings in the slightly boiling water and let them soak for about 10 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through and rise to the surface of the water.

In the meantime, melt the butter in a pan. Mix the breadcrumbs with a little powdered sugar and toast them briefly in the butter and toss the dumplings in the breadcrumbs. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
