In a baking bowl, stir sugar with rum and juice of one lemon. Peel bananas, cut into 2 cm thick slices. Peel kiwis, halve lengthwise, cut into slices. Peel, pit and cut peaches into eighths. Remove hulls from strawberries and rinse well. Pit cherries.

Add all fruits to marinade form in baking dish. Leave to marinate for 20 minutes with the lid closed, turning several times. Divide fruit colorfully on grill sticks evenly.

Squeeze orange, bring juice to boil with remaining marinade and honey, thicken slightly.

Preheat broiler, oil broiler well. Brush skewers with thickened marinade and grill for about 2 minutes on each side.
