For the Kaiserschmarrn, first separate the eggs. Mix the milk, flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and egg yolks with a whisk and let rest for 10 minutes.

Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter. Stir in the raisins. Heat half the butter in a frying pan. Pour in the batter and toast gently over medium heat until golden brown. Turn the dough to the other side, add the remaining butter and toast the other side until golden brown as well. Now tear into pieces with two forks and continue toasting briefly.

Before serving, sprinkle the Kaiserschmarrn with powdered sugar.
