For the bacon dumpling soup, cut the white bread into small cubes. Sauté the finely diced onion in butter until soft, pour over the bread and mix.

Stir in the flour and the bacon cut into small cubes, then stir through the eggs and the milk with a little parsley and a pinch of salt, pour over the bread and mix everything together well.
