Instructions:

For the red lentil soup, finely dice the onion and carrots. Sauté the onion until translucent, add the carrots and steam briefly.

Wash the lentils and add them. Immediately add water. Add harissa powder, tomato paste, paprika powder, cumin, vegetable soup and peeled and halved garlic cloves.

Stir well, bring to a boil and simmer covered for about 15-20 minutes. Add salt to taste.

Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the sour cream. Puree in a blender or with a hand blender and season the red lentil soup with lemon or lime juice.

Preparation Tip:

If you like the red lentil soup less spicy, take only half a tsp of the harissa powder.
