For the spinach dumplings, first soak the white bread. Mix margarine and eggs until foamy. Add the spinach. Squeeze the white bread, strain and stir in as well.

Carefully fold in flour and season with salt, pepper, garlic and nutmeg. Bring salted water to a boil. Form dumplings from the mixture with 2 spoons and put them into the lightly simmering water for about 5 minutes.

Strain and serve.
