For the yeast dough waffles separate the eggs. Beat the yolks with sugar and salt until foamy. Crumble the yeast into the cream and dissolve.

Mix with milk and flour. Now add the egg mixture, beat until stiff and fold everything in carefully. Leave to rest for 1 hour.

Preheat the waffle iron to level 5. Pour in the mixture and bake the waffles until golden brown.

Serve the yeast dough waffles with jam, syrup or whipped cream.

Preparation Tip:

These yeast dough wafers can also be used to make a cake in no time. Simply layer the waffles and fill in between as desired. Above a cream or chocolate sauce, decorate and ready is the wafer cake.
